Entries from March 2008

the past week

I donm’t know when I will be able to post pics again for awhile so I thought this might be the quickest way to get the most posted!  These are a few from our last week – in Rocky Mount and Washington, NC and yesterday in Washington, DC.  Whew!  We did alot of traveling and visiting.  Jason left yesterday and hopefully arrived safely in the UK this morning.  He had to go straight to work so I have not talked to him yet though to confirm this.  I am sure he is exhausted.  And for some reason Ty chose last night to revert back to 3 feeds during the night and then just decided to get up at 4:45 this morning.  Probably because I blogged about how well he was doing yesterday.  I should know better!  I hope he is not getting teeth…

Jason’s vacay is coming to a close…

        HAPPY EASTER, BUNNIES!

Ty, Jason & I are in Washington DC again today as Jason’s flight leaves this afternoon from Dulles airport.  BOO!  2 weeks has absolutely flown by.  I know he is so sad to go back to the UK and leave Ty & I here – but it just makes more sense.  Pam’s wedding is May 2nd – so Ty and I are staying here until then.  Then Jason will meet us back in Charleston then.  The cherry blossom festival is happening here in DC so we all went to see that this afternoon – pics to follow another day :)

We have had a grwat time visiting all over the east coast the past 2 weeks.  And Ty has really been great.  Turning 3 months last week seemed to bring some great changes in him.  He seems much happier during the day and seems to now spend more time not crying – always a bonus.  He has also dropped another feed during the night so now usually does 2 feeds instead of 3.  This makes a HUGE dfference in my level of constant exhaustion.  BUT – the hungry beast now weighs almost 17 lbs and is killing my back and wrists!

Dial-up internet – are you kidding me?!

March 16, 2008 · Leave a Comment

I really didn’t remember how awful dial-up actually was.  I guess because it was so long ago – and you didn’t know any different.  But now it is the most painful thing to try and use you want to beat the mouse upside your head.  My parents have dial-up.  I know this sounds horrific – but Nanjemoy (or as we call it – Farjamoy) Maryland still does not have Broadband.  Those poor people.  But this is why my posting has been sporadic.  I will try and recap:

We had a bridal shower for Pam at my parents house last Saturday.  It was lots of fun - good food – good laughs…

Ty in his fave sling and Lisa and Jackson

Ty wanted to play with my fake eyelashes

Pam’s Bachelorette Party

Shower #2 – with tricia’s and cupcakes

out for sushi for my birthday yesterday

So we are in Raleigh now at Jason’s dad getting ready to head out to Rocky Mount shortly.  Ty is being good being held by Aunt Kristan and Jason’s is telling us Tutu stories while we watch basketball and laughing.  We had a great southern breakfast this morning with Pam, Richard and mom with lots of pancakes and coffee to help recover from last night.  It’s good to be home!

today at the Natural History Museum with Lisa

taking life too seriously!

I doubt i will be able to post again for atleast a week – my sister flies in on Friday and we have her bridal shower and bachelorette party on Saturday night (woo hoo!)  Then Jason arrives on Wednesday and we head down to NC after that.  Since my parents live in the middle of nowhere (BFE) – they really don’t have internet access – eek.

Hello from the nation’s capital

March 3, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Ty & I are at work with Mee-Maw today in the Natural History Museum.  I stupidly forgot my camera cord at home so I have no pics to share :( But we are here safe and sound – totally exhausted after the flight but alive.  I will have to write a full recap when we are a bit more settled- because it was quite eventful.  Ty & I both got colds from the flight so we are dealing with his first ‘illness.’  We are so glad to be here – but are missing Jason very much!more soon – I promise!xogretta
