Eastnor Castle

Yea Bank Holiday weekends!  Today is Monday and Jason and I are off today   Bank Holiday weekends in England are known for crap weather – but this one has been great.  Yesterday we went to Eastnor Castle in Hereford – about an hours drive from us.  It was a gorgeous day – and we had a great time.  I love castles – everytime J & I go to one I ask him to buy me one.  I just feel I belong in a castle – ya know?  Maybe it’s a past-life thing or something.  The owners still live in this one – maybe I could get them to adopt me or something…

Before we headed home from Eastnor – we saw they had some sort of maze.  Jason didn’t want to mess with the ‘kiddie stuff,’ but I talked him into atleast seeing what it was.  Um… about 30 frustrating and sweaty minutes later – we found the middle of the maze.  It was so hard!  It was hilarious – we passed so many adults cursing and sweating while trying to get out of the stupid thing (or find their lost children).  Here’s a pic from the middle of the maze.

 

The owners of Eastnor had also teamed with Land Rover to offer off-road excusrsions on their land.  I can’t believe Jason was able to resist signing us up.  But he couldn’t resist asking for this for Christmas – so you all take note   —>

Ouch!

   I think I spoke to soon about feeling so good.. I pulled a muscle in my big ‘ol belly!  I worked a few hours today but needed to go home and lie down.  It’s Ok,  just tender.  This is a Bank Holiday weekend in the UK – so I have Monday off too – plenty of time to recover!  Muppet just needs to slow down his mad growing lately, December is still a long ways off!  So I am going to vegetate and watch 4 hours of Flip That House now – anyone else love that show as much as me?  I totally should have thought of that like 10 years ago.  sigh.

Jason is playing in a gold tournament at The Belfy today – so wish him luck for not totally emabarassing himself   We are going to finally try and take that trip to Wales this weekend if the weather is nice.  That should be fun!  The coast is about a 4 hour drive due West of here I think.

week 24 – shopping time

 Feeling good in Month 6!  I am enjoying this whole pregnancy thing at the moment.  Ask me again in a few months and I may feel differently, but for now – all is good   The weather is crisp and cool in Britian at the moment and is making both of us feel like Thanksgiving dinner and football games.   It’s also making us realize how quickly winter is coming.  And for us, winter = baby!  So we finally caved yesterday and made our first LARGE Muppet-purchase – the Pram!  We went for the Bugaboo Frog (I heart frogs) in Navy Blue.  We pick it up Saturday and I am pumped to take it for a stroll through the neighborhood with Starlet in it.  Surprising, Jason has declined to come with me.??  It is totally like a Transformer – I can’t wait to use it.  When Muppet is first born, you use it like this and when older, like this.  Very cool.
